As a child I used to love fishing, I’d even play with the fish I caught like toys.
But as I’ve gotten older, my mother introduced me to some animal rights groups she was a part of.
One day after I was ridiculed for wanting to rescue a parrot at the age of 16 (one of Earth’s most complex creatures). I decided to dedicate my work to preventing all animals from ending up in the hands of such bad people, like those who attacked me.
This, of course, includes fishes. I gave up eating sea creatures. Although I loved the taste of deep fried fish, french fries made a much better, cruelty-free alternative.
I sign petitions to make PetSmart, PetCo, and Meijer stop exploiting fish, I even walked out of a PetCo one day after I talked an employee into giving me snails for free, and I’ve protested against massive marine parks like SeaWorld, including taking part in pushing for the release of Lolita the orca.
Marine life may seem “insignificant” to those who simply don’t care that our planet is dying, but all marine life plays a vital role in our ecosystem.
